Registration ALMOST full - 75 spots remain
We are close to hitting our capacity of 1000 registered participants! There are 75 spots left. Online registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. We will have registration open on Saturday at Sports Basement from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Race day registration will only be open if the event isn't sold out. Register Online
Race Starts
Half: 8:30 a.m.
10K Run: 8:30 a.m.
5K Run: 9:00 a.m.
No Race Day Switches
If you need to switch race categories please email info@mermaidtriathlon.com by 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. Our bib numbers and timing chips will be assigned on Friday and for timing purposes we need everyone to race in their event category (5k vs. 10k vs. Half). We have been having a few email problems, if your email bounces please try again or call us at 408-616-9592
Bathrooms on the course
We will have two portable toilets on the 10K course (at approximately mile 2.5 on the way out) and two portable toilets at the Half Marathon turnaround. Hence, those athletes racing the 10K and Half Marathon will pass the 10K toilets on the way out and the way back.
Post Event Party at the Sports Page Bar
Our friends at the Sports Page Bar (located 1 mile from the race course on Shoreline Blvd) have generously invited Mermaid athletes to stop by after the race. Show your Bib # and receive a $1 off pitchers of beer all afternoon. They have great appetizers, food, beer, an outdoor patio and even a sand volleyball court. We'll see you there after the event.
Saturday Packet Pick-up
Keep your race morning stress free by picking up your bib number, t-shirt, timing chip and goody bag the day before at Sports Basement. You can even pick up a friends bib number and timing chip provided you bring a copy of their photo i.d. (YOU MUST HAVE A COPY OF THEIR PHOTO ID, NO EXCEPTIONS)
All Mermaid Run participants will get 20% off everything in the store during packet pick-up!!
Where: Sports Basement (Off of Lawrence Exp., Sunnyvale, CA)
When: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Athletes must Bring a photo ID in order to pick up goody bag.

Check In: 7:00 a.m.
In order to speed things along Sunday morning here are a few hints for getting your bib number, chip, t-shirt and goody bag. Each event (5k,10k,Half) will have two lines broken out according to your last name. Please make sure you are in the correct line.
Mermaid Apparel
Don't forget to stop by the Mermaid Apparel Booth on Saturday and pick up a race belt (best way to wear your bib number) as well as check out the new full zip mermaid run hoodies, technical shirts, memaid run caps, etc. Cash, check or credit cards are welcome.
