We will be hosting a 60 mile, 40 mile and 20 mile fun and challenging bike ride in San Diego. If you are a competent rider looking for a fun and safe riding environment with all women, this is for you.
More information coming soon.
Here at Mermaid, we want to do everything we can to get you out the door to move your body. As with our triathlons, runs and clinics, we want to give you an experience that you can carry over into everyday life.
With the Mermaid Rides, we hope to give you the knowledge and security to wake up on a Saturday morning and call your friends to go for a ride feeling confident that you know how to ride on the open road, what equipment to carry and how to care for your bike. Our three rides are designed to take you step by step in a non competitive environment to feeling strong riding your bike.

Our first ride is 20 miles, we will be riding in the North Bay with Kelli Poindexter from Giant for Women, we will go over bike maintenance and ride together as a group depending on your ability to a location 10 miles in to rest and laugh together about the adventure. We will turn around for the remaining 10 miles to finish where we started.
In July, we will up the ante and go for a beautiful 40 mile ride in Santa Cruz with the same format (turning around at 20 miles with a pit stop)
Then we will finish up the year in October with a challenging and fun 60 mile ride in the Cupertino/San Jose area.
These rides are limited to 100 women and are self supported. We encourage you to get your families and friends involved having them SAG (support, give you treats ect) you along the route. We will spend some time before the ride going over bike safety, the course,
changing a flat tire and any questions you may have about riding longer distances. This is a RIDE not a RACE, there is no timing involved and is meant to be a fun day with women experiencing the freedom of hopping on your bike and going for a ride!!! ~ all levels are welcome!!!
